Dr. Khurana performed his cardiology training in London UK, and subspecialty training in coronary intervention at Kings College Hospital, London and Vancouver General Hospital, Canada. He is an experienced interventionist routinely performing complex angioplasty.
Dr. Khurana studied medicine at Oxford University in the UK where he obtained his Bachelor and Masters degree, this was followed by his clinical studies (at Oxford) from which he graduated in 1996. In 2004 he was awarded his PhD from the University of London and has been a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in the UK since 1999. In 2012 he was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP).
Dr. Khurana completed his general cardiology training at numerous teaching hospitals in London and subspecialty training in coronary intervention at Kings College Hospital in London and Vancouver General Hospital in Canada. He is an experienced interventionist, routinely performing complex angioplasty. In 2009 he received his UK Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) and also became US Board Certified in Cardiac CT.
Dr. Khurana was appointed consultant cardiologist at the National Heart Centre Singapore and in 2009 visiting consultant to Changi General Hospital. With his extensive training and research in the UK and Canada he was accepted as a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC) in 2010 and in 2012 awarded Fellowship to the American College of Cardiology (FACC).
Dr. Khurana is a Young Investigator award winner, in 2001 received the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship, allowing him to assume 18 months of research at Dartmouth College in the USA. He has been published in over 30 peer-reviewed journals and regularly invited to national and international meetings. Dr Khurana is currently Assistant Professor at the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School Singapore and is a member of the Research Committee for the Singapore Heart Foundation.
