Education & Training

Dr. Azmi began his medical studies at the International Islamic University (Malaysia) where he graduated in 2004 with an MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery). He followed his MBBS with a Master of Internal Medicine (MMed) at the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) in 2011. Dr. Azmi then commenced his Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Malaya Medical Centre (Malaysia) which he completed in 2014.

It was during this time that Dr. Azimi took up his first one-year Residency in Gastroenterology in Japan at Kyushu University (Fukuoka) and then followed this up in 2014 for his second one-year Residency in Gastroenterology at Ajou University in Suwon (South Korea).

Experience

From 2015 Dr. Azmi returned to Malaysia and took up post as Consultant Physician, Gastroenterologist and Hepatology Specialist as the Ampang Hospital, Selangor (Malaysia) where he remained until 2018. From 2018 until now Dr. Azmi has worked at Prince Court Medical Centre as a Specialist in Gastroenterologist & Hepatology.

Teaching

Dr. Azmi has been active in teaching since 2011 when he started lecturing at the Universiti Sains Malaysia at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and in 2015 until 2018 was Associate Professor.
