Dr. Azreen Adnan began his medical education at the Universiti Sains Malaysia from 1995-2000. He then went on to complete his MMED in Internal Medicine in 2006 with clinical training in Nephrology. From 2007-2011 he was a Physician for the Malaysian Ministry of Health whilst also carrying out his clinical specialization. In 2015 he was made Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology.
Dr. Adnan was involved in kidney disease research at the University Sains Malaysia for 22 years (2000-2022) where he gained a PhD, whilst managing Predialysis, Hemodialysis, CAPD and Renal Transplant Patients. From 2015 until 2022 Dr. Adnan was a Consultant Nephrologist at the School of Medical Sciences. In 2021 he was a Consultant Nephrologist at Ara Damansara Medical Centre at Selangor (Malaysia). From 2022 until now Dr. Adnan has been an Honorary Consultant Nephrologist at the Advanced Medical & Dental Institute, USM (Penang, Malaysia).
From 2015 until 2022 Dr. Adnan became Associate Professor at the School of Medical Sciences and from 2019-21 was Professor at the Management and Science University at the Patient Education Unit for Chronic Kidney Disease related conditions. He has also held the positions of Head of the Hemodialysis Unit at Hospital University Science Malaysia and Head of Unit at the CKD Resource Centre at the National Kidney Foundation.
Dr. Adnan has published numerous papers on kidney disease and reviewing articles in academic journals as well as publishing a book on Dengue Syndrome.
