Prof. Cihan Uras is an internationally recognized specialist in General Surgery from Istanbul in Turkey with over 35 years of experience. He specializes in Breast surgery, and Bariatric surgery and a leader in Laparoscopic surgery in Turkey.
Prof. Cihun Eras began his medical training at Istanbul University’s Trakya Medical Faculty in Edirne, Turkey where he graduated in 1981. He then went on to complete his specialization in General Surgery in 1986 at the Cerrahpasa Medical University in Istanbul. From 1986 to 1990 Prof. Eras remained at Cerrahpasa Medical University in the department of General Surgery and from 2000-10 he worked at Istanbul’s Acıbadem Bakırkoy Hospital and since 2010 worked at Maslak Acibadem Hospital also in Istanbul as a Specialist.
In 1990 Prof. Eras was made Associate Professor in Cerrahpasa Medical University and following this in 1996 he was promoted to Professor of General Surgery. He is also the Head of the Department of General Surgery at Acibadem University in Istanbul. He has also contributed to and/or published over 200 journals/papers with an emphasis on Breast Cancer and Breast Care.
Prof. Eras is a member of the Turkish Medical Association and the Turkish Surgical Association. The Turkish Association for Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgery. He is also a member of the American Association of Breast Science and the American Society of Breast Disease.
