Dato’ Dr. Kantha Rasalingam obtained his MBBS from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore in India in 1997. He then went on to join the Ministry of Health in Malaysia and later commenced his Masters of Neurosurgery Program and in 2006 finished his Neurosurgery Post Graduate exams.

Dato’ Dr. Kantha Rasalingam was then posted to Sabah in East Malaysia and from there returned to Kuala Lumpur Hospital where he is currently practicing as a Consultant Neurosurgeon. He has a keen interest in spinal surgery and has had numerous attachments and fellowships in Malaysia, Japan and Korea.

Research & Teaching

Dato’ Dr.Kantha has organized many brain and spine courses, and in 2016 was the Organizing Chairman for the 1st Neurospine Congress on behalf of the Neurosurgical Association of Malaysia (NAM). Dr.Kantha leads annual spinal training courses for Postgraduates and young Neurosurgeons. He is currently the Secretary of the Neurosurgical Association of Malaysia (NAM) and an Examiner for the Masters in Neurosurgery Examinations in Malaysia. Dr.Kantha is also an honorary lecturer for MAHSA University in Malaysia.
