Dr Srividhya is a highly experienced Consultant of Infectious Diseases working in Chennai, India. Her sub-specialty expertise is in treating infections in transplant patients (Heart/Lung/Kidney/Liver/Bone Marrow). She also treats infections in immunocompromised hosts, prosthetic device infections, HIV, TB and tropical infections. More recently Dr Srividhya has gained experience in Covid-19, as a member of the ‘Covid Core Committee,’ implementing procedures for management and treatment throughout the pandemic.
Dr Srividhya completed her MBBS from PSG Medical College, Coimbatore in 2003. She went on to complete her MD in Tuberculosis and Respiratory Medicine in 2008 at Madras Medical College, Chennai where she also became Gold Medalist Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University. She completed her Postdoctoral Fellowship in Microbial medicine and Infection control in 2019 at Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR University, Chennai under Dr. Subramanian Swaminathan.
Dr Srividhya has worked at some of the best hospitals in India including Consultant in Infectious Diseases at Gleneagles Global Hospital, Chennai. She has worked as Associate Professor in the Department of Pulmonary Medicine at Sri Sathya Sai Medical College & Research Institute, (Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University, Chennai). As Assistant Professor in the Department of Pulmonary Medicine at Sri Sathya Sai Medical College (Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University, Pondicherry).
Dr Srividhya has contributed to a wide range of presentations and publications on her field of expertise and is also the recipient of an ‘Empathy Award’ for patient care during the Covid pandemic.
