Dr Soh graduated from National University of Singapore in 2003 and received his Membership of the Royal College of Physician (UK) in 2007. In 2012 he completed his advance specialist training in Medical Oncology.
He is a Senior Consultant Medical Oncologist at OncoCare. Priorto this he was Consultant at the Department of Haematology Oncology at National University Hospital and Visiting Consultant at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. His subspecialty is in Gastrointestinal Cancer (oesophageal, gastric, colon, rectal) and Hepatobiliary Cancer (liver, pancreas, bile duct, gallbladder). He is also a cancer specialist who looks after patients with neuroendocrine cancers.
Dr Soh is a believer in quality healthcare, leading and co-leading many healthcare improvement projects. He’s the recipient of several awards for his involvement in the Clinical Practice Improvement Programmes that he has implemented in NUH. Dr Soh was Honorary Secretary of the Executive Committee, Singapore Society of Oncology (2013-15).
Dr. Soh taught undergraduates and postgraduates from 2012-16 as a faculty member for the Internal Medicine Residency program and the Oncology Senior Residency program at National University Hospital. For his excellent teaching he received the Teaching Excellence Award (2014), from National University Cancer Institute and the Best Tutor Award (2015) by the University Medical Cluster (NUH).
Dr Soh is an active researcher in cancer medicine, funded three times by the National Medical Research Council as Clinical Investigator Salary Support Program. He’s published research on genetic variants affecting chemotherapy in Asian breast cancer patients and colorectal cancer. He’s also worked on drug trials for hepatoma, advanced pancreatic cancer and his research on gastrointestinal cancer has been published in more than 10 medical and oncology journals.
