Introduction

Dr. Metzger is an experienced Dermatologist who specializes in Mohs Surgery, a procedure used to treat skin cancer.

Education & Training

Dr. Metzger began his medical education at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem School of Medicine where he graduated (BMSc and MD) in 2011. Following an internship at Hadassah Medical Center (Jerusalem) he took up his residency in Dermatology and Venerology at Sourasky Medical Center (Ichilov hospital) in Tel Aviv from 20012-17. Dr. Metzger then went on to complete an ACGME accredited fellowship under world renowned Professor Goldman at the University of Vermont Medical Center (USA) in Mohs Micrographic Surgery & Dermatologic Oncology. Following the completion of his fellowship in 2018 he became a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS).

Experience

In 2018 Dr. Metzger returned to Israel and took up the position of Senior Dermatologist and Mohs Surgeon at Sourasky Medical Center (Ichilov hospital) in Tel Aviv, a position he still holds. He also performs Mohs surgery at the Assuta Medical Center in Tel Aviv as well as the Misgav Ladach Hospital in Jerusalem.

Teaching

From 2021 Dr. Metzger has been a clinical lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University.
